…so i got to thinking, after seeing that sad story about a girl asking santa to make her dad an elf so they won’t lose their house - it would really make me so happy to be able to help a family that needs some christmas help this year.
i know its last minute, but im willing to rush around if it means kids get to have one really happy day and get things they need on christmas.
my family always used to pick a family from a tree around christmas, and get presents for their needs and bring them to church. except i have nothing like that here, and can’t find something similar online.
so here’s my proposal:
i’ve created a gmail account, tumblrsantas@gmail.com. if you or a family you know is having trouble with presents this year, please email there with:
- kids ages, sizes in clothes and shoes, what they need (winter clothes, sneakers, a jacket, etc.), and what they like (she loves dora the explorer, or hair things, or he loves race-cars, etc.)
- optional are the kids names, but that may be nice for ‘santa’ to write a nice little note to them.
- your shipping address, so your tumblr santa can get everything to you in time for christmas
if you are blessed this christmas season, and would like to be an angel for a struggling family, please email here as well, and include where you are - i will try to match up as local as i can to lower any mail costs. please be very committed to this if you email tumblrsantas and able to spend a little extra cash, as this is not something i take lightly.
as soon as i get a match, the tumblrsanta will get an email with all the needed information and you can get shopping!
